Rest in Peace Menahem Golan

Cannon was one of the key forgers of my tastes in movies. That trashy, exuberant elan that covered everything from Missing in Action sequels to arty late period Godard. They weren't necessarily good, but they were almost always entertaining. And in today's anemic b movie stratum of covering your bets by not trying at all I yearn for the glorious gambles and messes of The Go Go Boys all the more. Thanks for the memories. And the dance-offs.
